The Runway Cafe Jennie is a great waitress The overviewThe View from AirNav
The Runway Cafe in Blairstown, NJ is a great destination for food or a fun stop on the way south. The food here is exceptional and you can't beat the service. If you are lucky, Jennie Novack will be your waitress. She makes breakfast a fun experience! The Cafe is open 7 days a week 7am-4:30 pm and menus are available at the club. The airport has a dedicated website and fuel is currently $3.96 a gallon.

Four Planes and 13 Pilots; We had a Wonderful Lunch at Orange County (KMGJ)!
Classy arrival at KMGJ Rick's Runway Cafe The happy pilots
We had a great day to fly to Orange County Airport. The morning fog burned off on schedule and we launched four very different aircraft for a lunch at Rick's Runway Cafe. What a classy arrival with an Aerostar, SR-22, Skyhawk and Flight Design CT-LSA! Thanks to everyone that came along. This is an excellent fly-out food destination, we posted a few menus up at the club. In the time we were there probably 20 aircraft flew in; several Barons, SR-22s, and Cherokee sixes. Personal favorite: a beautiful Cessna 337 "Skymaster."

115.8 nautical miles ESE: N45 (Kobelt Airport, Wallkill, NY) Nu-CAVU Restaurant. (First it was the CAVU then the Casual Palate for a year) This is right on the airport! 195.1 nautical miles ENE; 2B3 (Parlin Airport, Newport, NH) A little farther afield is Parlin Airport in New Hampshire. The Lil' Red Baron Restaurant (Mexican) on the field is ok but a 2 mile walk along the river gets you to town and the excellent Salt Hill Pub. <website> Two restaurants: "Lil' Red Baron Restaurant" (Mexican cuisine) Salt Hill Pub (Irish Pub food) This airport also has courtesy bicycles you can use: <here>
